This is a list of commonly asked questions regarding the Carnival and Club Fair. If there are any questions here which are not addressed, please email michael.chiarchiaro@caltech.edu

How Will the Club Demonstrations Work?
Club Performances will commence at 3pm and go into the early evening. The demo coordinator will contact each club individually via their email address they used during signup and determine which time slot they will have. Clubs will have two choices where they would like to perform, either the grassy area just north of the Club Tent, or the dance stage at the top of the Beckman Auditorium steps. There will be a soundboard for music and microphones, all routing through the professional outdoor sound system.

Where is my table going to be located?
The tables are chosen on a first come, first serve basis. For that reason, if you absolutely require your club to have a table in a specific location or would like to have more flexibility in where you are sitting, it is recommended that you arrive early. The Club Fair starts at 3pm, but you can get here as early as you would like. Just do not leave your table abandoned.

What time does the Club Fair start? When should clubs arrive?
The Club Fair will begin with the start of the Carnival, which is slated to begin at 3pm. Because choosing your table is done on a first come, first served basis, and if you would prefer to be seated in a specific location, we encourage groups to arrive early.

Do you supply any extra items such as extension cords, personal stereo systems, televisions, etc?
The only item we can provide your group with is a table, 3 chairs and a sign with your club name on it. If your group requires electricity, be sure to indicate that on your registration form, and be sure to bring an extension cord. If you have a larger or special sign for your group, we encourage you to bring that as well.

I am going to be late to the event and will not arrive until after it has started. What should I do?
Worry not, as there will be enough tables available for everyone who signs up through this website. If you are concerned about reserving a specific location, you should coordinate with another club to check in for you and save your table for you.

I am a student and would like my family to attend. Will they be allowed in?
All current Caltech students are invited to bring their family. Staff members affiliated with a club will also be permitted to bring their family.

How long does the Carnival and Club Fair go for?
Please check the schedule page for specific times.

Is wireless Internet available at the loction?
The Beckman Mall area appears to have limited Wi-Fi coverage via the IMSS network, but it is not the strongest signal in the world, and therefore not reliable. There are some other open networks that cover the Mall area which seem to eminate from the nearby office buildings, but the Office of Campus Life cannot recommend you use them, as they are independently operated.
